early TD Print...
« on: July 15, 2010, 10:33:49 PM »
This pic was taken with my iphone, so excuse the quality... The print is in a gallery show related to area music and musicians.  It is TD from the mid 1990's, maybe the firecracker era, if I remember correctly?  It was taken by James Bland...
why are you reading this?  shouldn't you be working?!?

I've seen that image before somewhere.  Wasn't that one of the b/w promo photos used by Island?

Why don't we start a picture thread for Tripping Daisy. There are some photos I remember seeing 8-9 years ago on the net, but somehow dissapeared. It would be good for people to share what they have and help everybody to revisit some memories :) Live photos, promos, rare ones.....

I remember the newsprint copy of that picture hanging in Wes's apartment on Dumas. I thought it was a pic from an article done on the band. Maybe the Observer. I could be wrong though. He had a ton of stuff hanging on those walls. Used them as scrapbooks. Made me sad when they tore those garage apartments down. Lots of memories there.

It probably DID run in the observer and other pubs, because I believe James was hired to do their promo pics.  He also did the band pic in Self Titled.
